Best Primary Teaching Resources was launched in March 2010 to provide a better shopping experience for buying downloadable teaching resources after the overwhelming success of our products on both e-Bay and the specialist primary tuition website of Chichester Primary Tutors.

The resources are the creation of Rachel Barker, a successful primary school teacher of over 25 years' experience. From early beginnings in 2009, Rachel's resources were immediately popular and over the coming months would increase to selling over 100 titles a week with customers from all over the world.

In The Beginning

While her initial sales were made on e-Bay, Rachel soon began to receive requests for specific resources and with so much positive feedback, Rachel decided to make some of her titles available as downloadable products on her Chichester Primary Tutors website.

Demand For Downloads

It soon became clear that there was healthy demand for downloadable products as they are immediately available to use (avoiding the wait for postal deliveries). In addition there are cost savings as there are no media, packaging and postal costs involved. For all of these reasons, downloadable products are an ecologically friendly alternative.

Towards the end of 2009 Rachel upgraded her e-Bay presence to an e-Bay shop, which offers numerous benefits when a considerable number of products are sold on a regular basis.

Dedicated Shopping Site

With the popularity of her downloadable products, Rachel was keen to offer all of her resources for sale as downloads but her existing website infrastructure meant that further development of the sales area would be time-consuming so setting up a dedicated shopping site made sense.
