Software
If you purchase downloadable products from us then you will need certain software on your computer to be able to use the downloads. The software you need is installed on many if not most machines already.
We understand that for some people, these are new concepts so we have done everything we can to make the process easy to understand. If you want to make sure of your PC's capabilities then the simplest way to test your set up is to download one of our free products and find out.
We suggest a number of software products that you may wish to try if you are missing a means of using our resources on your PC. We do so in the hope that this will be helpful to you. However, it is your responsibility to ensure that these products are suitable for your computer. We are unable to provide support for third-party products and in the event of queries you should contact the publisher of the relevant product directly. Please do make sure that your security precautions are up-to-date on a regular basis.
Zip Files
Each resource pack is delivered as a single zip file. This makes the download smaller and allows us to send you just one file for your download. In the zip archive are all of the separate resources stored in a compressed form. Those running Microsoft Windows PCs with Windows XP or later enjoy built in zip support otherwise you may need to download an unzipping utility to unpack the files. We recommend a program for Windows PCs called 7Zip which is free software. Alternatively you may wish to try Universal Extractor which is also free.
Adobe Acrobat (pdf) Documents
You will need an Adobe Acrobat or other "portable document format" (pdf) file viewer which is a free download and is available for Windows PCs, Apple Macs, Linux PCs and most other operating systems. By using Adobe Acrobat pdf files you do not need to have the same software on your PC that we used to create our resources and we can be confident that the printed result will be how we intended it.
Power Point Presentations
If you buy a product with a Power Point presentation included then you will need either Microsoft Power Point, the free Power Point viewer available from Microsoft's web site or a software suite such as Open Office that can play Power Point presentations. Please note that some Power Point presentation include sound so you will need a PC with speakers or head phones to hear the sounds. For the presentations that include sound, Microsoft's Power Point viewer is believed to give more consistent results.
Summary - you may need
* Un-zipping utility (7Zip / Universal Extractor)
* PDF file viewer (Adobe Acrobat)
* Power Point viewer (Microsoft Power Point Viewer / Open Office)
* Sound to obtain full use from some of the Power Point presentations
